IGNOU 37th Convocation 2024: The Indra Gandhi Open University is going to organize the 37th Convocation at Baba Saheb Ambedkar Convention Centre. IGNOU will provide the academic certificate for the students of UG and PG Programs through the Online Digilocker application. So the student can download their certificate by installing the official app of Digilocker.

IGNOU 36th Convocation 2023
In the IGNOU 36th Convocation ceremony, the university distributed around 2,80,000 degrees including diplomas and certificates through DigiLocker the blockchain technology. The Block blockchain technology was used in distributing the online degree for certain reasons like fast distribution and authenticity provided to the students. In the 36th Convocation, the chief guest of the Ceremony Our President Droupadi Murmu distributed the certificates and gave a happy note about the passing of 55 percent of Girl’s students among the certificate distribution.
Eligibility of IGNOU Certificate on 37th Convocation
Students who have completed their selected program in December 2022 and June 2023 are eligible to apply for the degree. Registration for the 37th convocation has to pay fees for the certificate. The students who are eligible but have not paid the registration fees of Rs. 600 will not get the certificate. The registration fees for each certificate cost Rs. 600 informed by the Director of the Regional Centre of Srinagar Dr. Shahnawaz Ahmad Dar.
Dr. Shahnawaz also informed us that the university will go to distribute the certificates to the students through Blockchain Technology. This technology helps in providing faster and more secure submission of online degrees to respective students. Every student who has enrolled in a different program will receive their degree through the application DigiLocker. All students have to create an account with DigiLocker to receive the softcopy of their degree.
DigiLocker is the initiative method by the Ministry of Electronics and IT under the Digital India Program whose aim is to give empowerment to citizens for accessing digital documents through digital wallets. DigiLocker is a secure cloud-based platform for secure storage, sharing, and verifying documents.
The director of the Regional center gave us information about the 37th Convocation that this ceremony has been held at some selected regional centres of IGNOU. In which Srinagar Regional Centre is also part of this convocation. The Function of the Srinagar IGNOU Regional Centre is the University of Kashmir. The informed time for the student who has to receive the degree during convocation is 9 AM.
Dr. Shahnawaz further informed that in IGNOU Regional Centre Srinagar, 9616 Students of 126 different programs are receiving certificates from this convocation. The Last date for New admissions and Re-admission of all the programs in online mode by IGNOU for the January 2024 session is extended to February 29th, 2024.
